What is the Cost of TV Advertising?

Connected TV advertising has lowered the entry cost for almost any business. With Connected TV, advertisers can stream commercials on the most viewed and popular CTV platforms affordably. Advertise on Hulu, Pluto, Paramount+, Roku, A&E, Discovery. On these premium platforms, you can geo-target and also create a custom, highly targeted audience. These impressions cost two to three cents. There is no skipping on CTV impressions. The video completion rates are usually at 98%.

Alternatively, there are billions of premium CTV impressions on many other platforms. Let’s call these “Remnant CTV.” For Remnant CTV, we have the same geo-targeting and custom audience capabilities. The only difference is the cost. Remnant CTV impressions cost around one to two cents per completed view.

Linear TV Advertising Costs

Make no mistake, linear TV is a legacy product. 21st Century television sets come loaded with a content store. Cord-cutting has reduced the cable universe to 50% of the total households from 10 years ago. Your local weather is one your phone 24-7. But the linear rates are much higher than 10 years ago. Even Live events and Sports are moving to Connected TV. This football season, Thursday Night Football, will stream on Amazon Prime.

Local broadcast packages start at $2500 per month. Advertisers can test National Cable TV advertising with test budgets of $5,000 to $10,000.00 per month.

 

TV Production Costs

TV production is also much lower than 10 or 15 years ago. Cameras are less costly, editing software, too! We can even use animation and special effects, all at lower costs than years ago. Our lowest cost production is $1500. Stock footage, voice over, special effects are all included in this starter production.
